A plan for a new bungalow in Knowle will go before planners this week after villagers voiced concerns it would be “crammed in” and “overdevelopment” of the area.
It is the latest plan for the land at Lodge Croft in the middle of the village after other schemes previously did not get off the ground.
The land had been earmarked for car parking for a Waitrose store once proposed in the village.

After that fell through, a two-storey office block was proposed in 2021. That was then turned down by Solihull Council planners and the government’s planning inspector at an appeal.
