ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Two Georgia men have plead guilty to defrauding Meta out of more than $1 million in separate schemes, according to the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said Brice E. Anderson and Terrance Lockett plead guilty to conspiring with former Facebook executive Barbara Furlow-Smiles to defraud the company.
Furlow-Smiles served as Meta’s Global Head of Employee Resource Groups and Diversity Engagement between January 2017 and September 2021. During that time, she used company credit cards to pay Anderson and Lockett for work that was never done, according to the U.S. attorney.
