OAKLAND CO., Mich. (WILX) - A Michigan man faces felony charges for using fake $100 bills to buy pizza, police say.
Javon Lavell Smith, 21, from Inkster, is accused of ordering pizza from two restaurants and paying with fake $100 bills.
Police say on Oct. 7, Smith ordered food from restaurants in Milford and Highland Townships and paid with fake $100 bills.
Authorities say he paid for the orders in advance, received change, and then never returned to pick up the pizza.
Smith was arrested by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Team while inside his Inkster home.
He was officially arraigned on Tuesday and released on a personal bond.
