HARTFORD, CT. (WFSB) - A man was arrested Wednesday after leading state police on a chase that ended with a foot pursuit through Hartford.
The incident began on I-91 near Exit 27 when troopers saw a silver Nissan Altima driving erratically at slow speeds. A registration inquiry showed that the license plate was misused and canceled.
When troopers initiated a traffic stop on the Exit 27 off-ramp, the vehicle, operated by 28-year-old Assawni Hoilett, fled at a high rate of speed as an officer approached the window.
The State Police Aviation Unit was in the area and observed Hoilett flee. They tracked and followed him through Hartford, notifying ground units of its location.
He eventually stopped and parked at the rear of a residence on Laurel Street. Troopers converged on the vehicle and
