The NFL is reportedly taking steps to keep player dissatisfaction in-house, having filed an interesting grievance against the NFL Players Association.

The league is seeking to have the NFLPA cease compiling player report cards annually and has argued that this practice violates the Collective Bargaining Agreement by publishing public criticism of teams.

According to ESPN, the NFL says that the cards are in direct violation of a CBA clause that instructs team owners and the union to “use reasonable efforts to curtail public comments by club personnel or players which express criticism of any club, its coach, or its operation and policy.”

Earlier this year, the NFLPA was accused of colluding with the league to keep vital information from players and has undergone restructuring as a result
