CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Hospital's plans for a new facility at Interstate 79 in Weston may be on life support after a ruling issued by the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals Thursday.
The justices decided that the West Virginia Health Care Authority, which controls the state's Certificate of Need decisions, as well as the West Virginia Intermediate Court of Appeals got it wrong.
The Supreme Court says a certificate of need is required for the new facility, casting the future of the project in doubt.
This is a developing story. More details will follow.
