KEARNEY, Neb. (NCN) - The Central Nebraska Veterans Treatment Court marking another milestone this week by celebrating the graduation of Army National Guard veteran Eric Nesiba.

The program, part of Nebraska’s Problem Solving Courts, provides justice-involved veterans with intensive supervision, treatment and mentorship.

Participants who successfully complete all phases of the program have their charges dismissed and sealed, giving them a fresh start.

Problem Solving Court Coordinator Angela Smith said the program addresses the unique challenges veterans face, including trauma, mental health, and substance use while connecting them with mentors and VA resources.
