TOCCOA, Ga. —

The Georgia Bureau of Investigations was called to assist in an investigation after a body was found in a Toccoa motel room.

According to initial reports, motel management at the Toccoa Motel on South Pond Street tried to enter one of the rooms on Thursday and noticed a significant amount of blood.

Officers with the Toccoa Police Department responded to the scene and found a dead man inside the room. The victim's identity has not been released.

Officers said the incident is believed to be isolated, and there is no danger to the public.

The investigation remains ongoing. No other details have been released.
