Dozens hospitalized in ammonia leak

Dozens of people were hospitalized after ammonia gas leaked from a tanker truck in a hotel parking lot in Oklahoma, authorities said. The leak was reported Wednesday night, in a Holiday Inn parking lot in Weatherford, located approximately 70 miles west of Oklahoma City, authorities said. Thirty-six people were transported to a local hospital for health issues, with 11 in serious to critical condition, according to Weatherford Police Chief Angelo Orefice. Those 11 patients were further transported to hospitals in the Oklahoma City area for treatment, including four who were life-flighted in critical condition, he said.
