WAYNESBORO, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - One person is dead after a shooting Thursday at a Waynesboro convenience store.
It happened after an altercation escalated around noon inside the Sunoco convenience store at 740 E. Seventh St. in Waynesboro, according to authorities.
Kennarius Roshawn McBride was shot, according to authorities.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities said they reviewed camera footage from the store, which showed Jalen Floyd Cox as the suspect, and he soon surrendered at the Burke County Detention Center.
