MUNCIE, Ind. — As first responders from several agencies rushed to the scene of a Delaware County sheriff's corporal hit and killed in a crash with two semis, the Indianapolis Fraternal Order of Police responded but with a different kind of support.
For the first time, the FOP has deployed it's "Active Response Kit," or ARK. The mobile trailer was a multi-year project and is meant to support law enforcement during critical incidents.
"We're very close-knit," Indy FOP Vice President Bobby Ferguson said. "Whenever there's a tragic loss of a law enforcement officer, it hit hits home to everybody."
Delaware County Sheriff's Corporal Blake Reynolds, 31, stopped to help a semi-truck driver as the semi was stopped partially in the roadway.
