World Kindness Day is Thursday, Nov. 13, and celebrates acts of kindness big and small, such as holding the door open for someone, paying for someone's coffee, or giving someone flowers.

Krispy Kreme is participating in its own act of kindness on Nov. 13 this year, as it is offering customers a free original glazed dozen with the purchase of any regular-priced dozen, the company said in a Nov. 10 news release.
