LEXINGTON, Ky. — UnitedHealthcare and the Kentucky Primary Care Association are bringing breast cancer screenings directly to women across Kentucky.
HealthFirst Bluegrass Community Health Center is one of many stops that the UnitedHealthcare and Kentucky Primary Care Association is bringing mobile mammography; aimed at eliminating transportation, time and access barriers for breast exams. Eileen Levy with HealthFirst said they were thrilled to have the exams readily available for women.
“Partnering with UnitedHealthcare brings our patients right to our door—go get a dental screening, come get a mammogram, it’s that whole integrated care model that we serve the patient for the betterment of the community,” Levy said.
Levy said preventive care is a must, especially with cancer concerns.
