FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ga. (FOX Carolina) - The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office reports it is investigating after someone was killed in a shooting on Wednesday.

Deputies said they found a person with a gunshot wound at a residence on Salem Road in Royston.

The victim has not yet been identified.

The sheriff’s office reports it has requested assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

The investigation is active and ongoing, officials said.
