CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO) - Carson City will allow open burning starting this week.

The Fall 2025 Open Burn period will open burning until Dec. 21 beginning Saturday.

Burn status will be dependent on permit status and daily weather conditions.

Permits will be available starting Thursday and can be obtained here.

Permits will no longer be available in offices on a walk in basis.
