HUDSON, Ohio — Every fall, the leaves return to Clayton Court. And every fall since 2022, so do Brady and Brooklyn Yozwiak — armed with rakes, a mission, and a growing army of volunteers determined to honor their father and fight the disease that took him.

What started as two grieving children wanting to help their sick dad has blossomed into Clayton Rakes , a community-driven fundraising effort that has raised nearly $350,000 for ALS research. This November marks the fourth season of the initiative, which now includes dozens of volunteers raking leaves across Hudson neighborhoods to raise money and awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis — also known as "Lou Gehrig's disease."
