PEMBROKE, NH. -- Between now and next Friday, one soldier and over twenty police officers will be training to become the next group of D.A.R.E Officers.
This years 10-day training for the Northern New England D.A.R.E. Training Team is being held at the New Hampshire National Guards Edward Cross Training Complex in Pembroke, New Hampshire.
According to Hancock County Sheriff's Office Patrol Sergeant Rob Morang, the D.A.R.E-Officers-in-training are from five different states. Including New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine.
"These people behind me, started out excellent, and we're actually able to give them more tools," said Sgt. Morang.
"We see a lot of things as police officers, and a lot of adults sometimes don't make the decisions," said Officer Joanna Daley, Patrol Off
