BROOKSHIRE, Texas – A planned Tesla manufacturing facility in Brookshire is projected to bring at least 1,500 jobs to the Houston area, according to a report by the Houston Business Journal , and Tesla’s own careers site which shows the company is recruiting manufacturing roles for the Brookshire location.

The Business Journal reported last week that the project — described by local officials and economic development sources as a large-scale manufacturing campus — is expected to create a minimum of 1,500 positions once operations ramp up.
