Eaudine H. Reeves of Sandwich, formerly of Falmouth, died on November 8 after a period of failing health. She was 99.

Born in New Britain, Connecticut, to Carl and Hazel (Schwartz) Johnson, formerly of Portland, Connecticut, she was the eldest of two children. She was known as “Deenie.”

After graduating from Mineola High School in New York in 1944, she went on to work for the accounting department of the New York Telegraph Company in Hempstead, New York. During that time, she attended Hofstra College, now Hofstra University, in Hempstead, New York.

She married James M. Reeves in June 1953 while he was in the US Air Force, and they were married for 48 years. Prior to moving to Falmouth, they lived on Long Island, New York, France, Germany and North Carolina. With her husband stationed at
