ORONDO, Wash. — A 16-year-old male has been arrested on second-degree murder charges in connection with the shooting death of a man found in his vehicle on Highway 97 near Orondo, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies found the unresponsive man at approximately 12:14 p.m. Wednesday with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Thursday, investigators executed a search warrant in Bridgeport that resulted in the arrest of the 16-year-old, the sheriff's office reported.
