Floridians receive 191 million spam calls a month

A new report found Floridians receive 191 million spam calls and 11 million spam texts a month.

That report was released by the spam-blocking app Truecaller. Clayton LiaBraaten, the senior executive industry expert, says they reviewed data from their 450 million users globally.

"I think Florida, once again, is very high in terms of the rankings of all states that receive the most fraudulent phone calls and texts," LiaBraaten said. "What will we see at Truecaller and across the board, but particularly in Florida, senior populations. The elderly are always disproportionately targeted by con artists and scammers.
