Calgary teen testified he still stands by his recollection of the shooting of Jordan Jacques-Vetten

The convicted teen killer who says murder suspect Robert Joseph Matthews fatally shot a homeless Calgary man admitted Thursday he was viewing events through the lens of “constant and consistent” drug use.

The witness, who can’t be named because he was a youth at the time, told defence lawyer Rebecca Snukal he was consuming narcotics heavily the evening he and Matthews set out to find a robbery victim.

But he said despite that fact, his perception of what occurred when Jordan Jacques-Vetten was fatally shot on a the porch of a northwest Calgary home wasn’t “wrong.”
