SAN MARCOS, Texas — San Marcos police have arrested a suspect and are searching for two others in connection to a pair of shootings that occurred in the city earlier this month.

The shootings, which were unrelated to each other, happened late on the night of Nov. 1 on Hopkins Street and early on the morning of Nov. 2 at an apartment complex on Post Road. One person died and several others were injured.

Downtown San Marcos homicide

The first shooting happened at about 10 p.m. on Nov. 2 near Kissing Alley on Hopkins Street in the downtown square. Police said three people were taken to the hospital, where one of them, identified as 19-year-old Ronnie Hernandez Jr., later died.
