U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., on Thursday strongly suggested he will “sue the living hell” out of Biden administration officials who accessed his phone records as part of the Jan. 6 investigation.
The deal ending the federal government shutdown included a spending bill with a provision allowing Tuberville and seven other GOP senators to sue the federal government for at least $500,000 each because they were not notified the records were accessed during then-special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into Jan. 6.
“The Biden administration secretly spied on my phone,” Tuberville tweeted after days of silence on the lawsuit provision.
“But it wasn’t just me they went after. For 4 years, the corrupt Biden administration TRIED TO SILENCE and DESTROY every conservative they could.
