CLEVELAND — West Rowan Elementary hosted veterans for a breakfast and celebration on Monday to recognize them for their service.
The annual event featured a presentation of the colors by the West Rowan High School JROTC and a singing of the national anthem by the school’s fifth graders.
Music teacher Alex Day said the 5th graders look forward to singing at the veterans breakfast every year and that they begin practicing a long time in advance to be ready for the big day.
