The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has issued an apology to US President Donald Trump on Thursday over a misleading edit of his speech on January 6, 2021 but refused to pay any compensation as the news outlet said the US president had no legal basis to sue the broadcaster over a documentary his lawyers termed defamatory, Reuters reported.
The documentary, which was aired a week ahead of the 2024 US presidential election on BBC’s “Panorama” news programme titled, “Trump: A Second Chance?” spliced together three parts of Trump’s speech given on January 6, when his supporters stormed the US Capitol and a riot took place. The B
