MADISON (WKOW) — Democratic lawmakers are expressing dissatisfaction with the terms of the recently-passed government funding bill.
U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) was in Madison Thursday discussing her party's concerns regarding Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies.
Baldwin said a "handshake deal was not enough" for extending Affordable Care Act subsidies, leading her to vote against the government spending bill that passed this week.
For 275,000 people in Wisconsin, health care premium costs could increase dramatically, ranging from three to eight times more than current rates.
"Behind every one of those 275,000 Wisconsinites, there's a story," Baldwin said.
Small business owners like Jessica Jones are concerned about the financial impact on their employees who depend on these credits
