STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — In the ongoing manslaughter trial of Carlos Rivera of Stapleton, jurors on Thursday viewed enhanced surveillance footage of the 2024 slaying, which the defense hopes will work to its advantage.
The prosecution already presented videos in their original form of the altercation, which left 41-year-old Joel Badillo, also of Stapleton, dead of a stab wound in his neighborhood. Some of the footage was from a distance and grainy.
