A 59-year-old Manitowoc man was sentenced in federal court to 25 years in prison for the repeated sexual assault of a teen, which he recorded.

Rodney Hanes pleaded guilty in the Eastern District of Wisconsin July 8 to child enticement and two counts of producing child pornography. On Oct. 6, U.S. District Court Judge William Griesbach sentenced Hanes to 25 years in prison followed by life on supervised release, according to court records.

Hanes sexually assaulted the victim over the course of seven months at locations in Outagamie and Brown counties, including at his workplace, according to a Department of Justice news release .
