HOLLAND, MI – Michigan’s largest ice-skating ribbon is sparkling in this Lake Michigan town bringing winter festivities to a city known for spring tulips and summer beach vibes.

Holland’s new $11.3 million ice park is the city’s latest investment as a four-season destination. Sitting on the edge of the iconic Window on the Waterfront Park, this new downtown cornerstone will be both a gathering place and a year-round sports facility.

The ice park officially opens with a ribbon cutting event 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14. The rink is open Tuesday through Sunday, until March 15.

The ice-skating ribbon is 700 feet long, winding around multiple curves and widening to an open skate 75-foot semi-circle. The ribbon has two access points to a matted firepit area to stop, take a break and warm up.
