Two teenage boys, aged 14 and 15, will face court following a police pursuit in Newcastle on Thursday night.

Officers attached to Newcastle City PD were patrolling Hassell Street, Hamilton, about 10pm on 13 November, when they attempted to stop a white Isuzu MUX.

Checks revealed the vehicle was reported stolen from a home in Cameron Park on Wednesday 12 November.

When the driver failed to obey the directive, a pursuit was initiated.

It continued through Hamilton, before coming to a stop in Hassell Street, in a parking lot.

The four occupants left the scene on foot.

A short time later, officers arrested two boys nearby and seized the vehicle for forensic testing.
