ORLANDO, Fla. – After a record 43 days, the longest government shutdown in U.S. history came to an end last night, bringing relief to hundreds of thousands of federal workers who went without pay for more than six weeks.
But for travelers, the effects of the shutdown are far from over. Flight cuts by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) remain in place, continuing to cause delays and cancellations across the country — including at Orlando International Airport (MCO).
