A murder investigation has been launched after a man was found dead in a city centre flat.
Officers were called to the apartment after paramedics found the man unresponsive.
He was confirmed dead at the scene in Linfield Road, Stoke-on-Trent, at around 9.30pm last night (November 12).
A cordon was put in place in the are as detectives began their inquires. At a nearby street, a phone box was found wrapped in blue sheeting as part of a forensic examination of the area.
Staffordshire Police are also working to trace the man's relatives, reports StokeonTrentLive.
Meanwhile, a 56-year-old man, of Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and has been taken into custody for questioning.
