The second trial of a 22-year-old Chester woman accused of physically abusing four children over a two-year period during the COVID-19 pandemic, two of them sexually, got underway this week before Common Pleas Judge John Capuzzi.
The prior trial for Anais Munoz ended in March with a jury returning not guilty verdicts on two charges and Common Pleas Court Judge Richard Cappelli entering a judgment of acquittal on one count of rape of a child.
The first jury could not reach a verdict on the remaining 21 charges, however, which included involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, strangulation and endangering the welfare of children.
Those charges have now been put to a second jury, which heard from two of the alleged victims, both sist
