ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -An O’Fallon, Illinois man was arrested after showing up at his former residence in Clayton early Wednesday morning.
St. Louis County prosecutors charged 24-year-old Ahmad Alamir with 1st-degree burglary and armed criminal action.
He was held in the St. Louis County Jail on a $500,000 cash only bond.
Alamir was accused of entering his former apartment in Clayton, in the 7500 block of Forsyth Boulevard, where he had previously been evicted.
Clayton Police said the resident there reported a masked man entered their apartment with a container filled with gas and what they believed to be a gun.
Police said the resident confronted Alamir, leading to a fight, which left the victim with minor injuries.
