A man has denied accusations that he groped a female client on her nipples and genitals during a 'Lomi Lomi' Hawaiian massage session last year.

Valentine Ansett has previously pleaded not guilty to two counts of indecent assault and one count of assault with indecent intent in relation to the matter.

The alleged incident took place on January 6, 2024, when Mr Ansett had agreed to massage a female client whom he had seen on two prior occasions.

He operated the massage business with his wife at their home at South Arm, in Hobart.

Mr Ansett appeared in the Hobart Magistrates Court on Thursday for the first of an expected three-day hearing.
