BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - An Army veteran from Denham Springs received a heartwarming surprise.

Brandon Gautier served four deployments between 2003 and 2017 in Afghanistan and Iraq.

He was medically discharged from the army and currently shares a home in Denham Springs with his wife, Kirsten, and their two kids.

On Thursday, Pelican Roofing, alongside other local companies, gifted the Gautier family with a new roof.

The companies presented Brandon with a check for one free roof and also offered the veteran additional services like yardwork, cleaning, and more.

Pelican Roofing partnered with Doucet’s Lawncare and Landscaping to present the check to Brandon and his wife.
