OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - One-on-one interactions and feedback -- that’s what the brand new ‘SheSports’ app is offering female athletes in Nebraska.

Parents Melanie and Kelly Krings created it, after being unsatisfied with what other platforms offered their 11-year-old daughter.

“We were just like looking for a place that we felt was a little bit more safe, a little bit more moderated, a little bit more positive, that we would feel comfortable not only sending her, but our 8-year-old daughter as well as she starts getting more into technology,” said Melanie, mom and co-founder of SheSports.

The platform allows young female athletes ages eight to 18 to ask college and professional athletes questions.
