TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — State Representative Lance Clow will not seek re-election next year and will step down from serving District 25 at the end of the month, ending a 32-year career in elected office.
The 77-year-old Republican lawmaker said recent health issues and personal goals influenced his decision to leave the Idaho Legislature.
“I thought you know, I should step down and let somebody else step in who has more energy to learn the job and get started,” Clow said.
Clow began his political career in 1993, serving on the Twin Falls City Council and as Mayor before moving into state politics as a representative.
“I’ve gone through 7 general elections and 7 primaries and plus 5 city council elections,” Clow said.
