There are few chefs who wear the WA coastline quite as comfortably as Scott Bridger.
He’s the man who turned a love of local produce into an edible geography lesson and now, he’s pretty much back where he made his name.
Two months after selling the North Fremantle eatery that redefined coastal dining in Perth 13 years ago, Bib & Tucker, Bridger is preparing to open the doors to Pearla & Co, a modern coastal restaurant and bar.
The former Al Lupo site he has taken over is just 90m from Bib & Tucker.
“Pearla & Co is about simple things done beautifully, the kind of food you want to eat with friends, made with produce you actually care about,” Bridger says.
