MANHATTAN — Kansas State basketball will face its toughest challenge yet early in the 2025 college basketball season when it hosts California on Thursday, Nov. 13.

The Wildcats and Golden Bears will face off at 8 p.m. at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan, Kansas. Both are unbeaten, but have yet to play a high-major program .

Kansas State (2-0) opened its season with wins over UNC Greensboro and Bellarmine and is averaging 95.5 points per game. PJ Haggerty is among the nation's scoring leaders , averaging 25 points through two games.

California (3-0) has beaten Cal State Bakersfield, Wright State and Cal State Fullerton to open the season. The Golden Bears are led by Justin Pippen, the son of NBA legend Scottie Pippen, who is averaging 14.3 points, seven boards and 5.7 assists.
