SNAP benefits are again being issued in Pennsylvania.

The state Department of Human Services said Thursday it has restarted the process of issuing full November SNAP benefit payments and is working quickly to get payments to some 2 million recipients in the state.

The agency said all recipients should receive their payments by the end of the week.

DHS Secretary Val Arkoosh thanked the food banks and other charity groups for stepping up over the past several weeks since payments were suspended, but added the disruption will have lingering effects.

“I am relieved we can finally get these critical benefits out, and I urge those who are able to continue to support to our charitable food network as they stabilize and restock to continue their essential work,” said Arkoosh.
