The MVP Award is among the most prestigious individual honors a player can receive in MLB. But to win an MVP Award and achieve the ultimate team goal of winning the World Series in the same year is something else altogether.

In the Divisional Era (since 1969), 13 players have won an MVP Award and a World Series ring in the same year, the ultimate combination of individual and collective performance. By winning the 2025 National League MVP Award -- his third straight MVP honor and fourth overall -- Shohei Ohtani became the second player in MLB history to win his league's MVP Award and the World Series in the same year multiple times, joining the Reds' Joe Morgan (1975-76).
