Burnt Hills runner thriving after overcoming heart defect

BURNT HILLS — The 3.1-mile cross country course at Queensbury High School starts and finishes on a vast expanse of green grass.

At the Section 2 championships last weekend, a long horizontal line of runners from seven schools in the girls’ Class B race bolted away at the starting gun and merged into a big crowd before heading into the woods.
