Cincinnati police have released new videos that shed light on the downtown assault that made national headlines this summer, revealing the events before and after the infamous slap.

The incident began at the corner of 4th and Elm, where a crowd had gathered, and ended in an assault involving more than half a dozen people who were charged with felonies.
Assistant Prosecutor Kip Guinan clarified in court that the slap occurred 47 seconds into the assault, countering claims that it initiated the fight.
"That so-called slap was 47 seconds already into the assault," Guinan said.
