The ACT government has defended a decision to close some schools on Friday, November 14, throwing the city into chaos as parents rush to find alternative arrangements for students.
Education Minister Yvette Berry said she was hoping to have schools open by Monday as asbestos experts work over the weekend to test and remediate schools, if asbestos is detected.
