Rain across Northern California brought minor flooding, clogged drains and slow traffic Thursday as Sacramento city crews cleared debris to keep stormwater systems moving. A portion of I-5 closed briefly because of flooding, and drivers reported spinouts and close calls on slick roads. Metro Fire said the storm has not produced a significant number of incidents but confirmed responding to rain-related crashes. Officials urged motorists to slow down, check windshield wipers and allow more space between vehicles as the rainy season begins.
