WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A Westfield man has been sentenced to nine years in federal prison for his role in a multistate narcotics trafficking and money laundering conspiracy.
Adams man faces 30 years for child sex abuse
David Cruz, 56, was sentenced on October 17 in U.S. District Court in Worcester for a money laundering conspiracy that moved cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl from Mexico to western Massachusetts and southern Vermont.
Cruz pleaded guilty in 2017 to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute heroin, conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of a firearm in relation to a drug trafficking offense, and possession of a firearm and ammunition as a previously convicted felon.
