WINDHAM, Maine (WABI) - Windham Public Works says a sinkhole has appeared on U.S. Route 202 near the rotary with U.S. Route 302.
The town’s public works director, Brian Morin, told Maine’s Total Coverage a small sinkhole developed Thursday morning on Gray Road (Route 202) near Hall Implement Company.
In an announcement about the sinkhole made at 9:45 a.m., Windham Public Works said traffic on that part of Route 202 is down to one lane, and that police officers and firefighters were at the scene.
The WMTW traffic map is showing slow-moving traffic on the part of Gray Road (Route 202) on the north side of the rotary.
Morin said crews were still out making repairs as of 1 p.m.
