SOUTHINGTON, Ohio - A portion of Route 422 eastbound has been closed for the time being due to a crash in the area.

According to a dispatcher with the Warren Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), the crash happened along Route 422 and State Route 305 near Southington.

The crash happened between two vehicles, each vehicle containing one occupant.

A 21 News photographer on scene saw a Trumbull County Coroner's Office minivan arrive on scene, but it has since left.

An OSHP trooper on the scene told 21 News that one person died in the crash, and another was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
